Applications for the 2023 National Internship Mobilization Program, which is organized every year by the Human Resources Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, will soon end on the date of January 18, 2023.

The National Internship Program was initiated by the Human Resources Office of the Presidency in order to ensure that our young people benefit from internship opportunities offered by public institutions and private sector organizations within the framework of equality of opportunity and in accordance with the principles of merit.

Through the program, it is aimed to increase the employability of our youth with a transparent, traceable and innovative valuation method, to support equal opportunities in accessing career opportunities, and to expand internship opportunities to all departments, not limited to technical departments that require compulsory internship.

Students applying to the Program are being evaluated based on the performance they have displayed throughout their education life, on the basis of their academic/professional, artistic/social and sportive competency points, taking into account the studies they have carried out to increase their skills and their achievements.

Turkish employers, on the other hand, send internship offers to students based on the scores they get in the aforementioned qualification areas without seeing their credentials.

The Program, which is followed with admiration abroad as well as its success in the country and shown as an exemplary practice to member countries twice by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), gives many young people at the beginning of their professional life the chance to experience business life and guide their career journey while they are still students.

Who can apply to be an intern within the programme?

Students who continue their education in universities in Turkey, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and abroad and whose grade point average is at least 2 out of 4 (equivalent in other grading systems) can apply to become an intern.

Applicants are expected to be at the following educational levels:

  • 2nd, 3rd or 4th year students of formal education undergraduate programs (except for medical training and lecturing departments).
  • 1st* or 2nd year students of formal education associate degree programs
  • Students who are Turkish Citizens or Blue Card holders who continue their master’s/doctorate education at universities abroad with a grade point average of at least 2 out of 4 (equivalent in other grading systems).

* Since the overall grade point averages have not been clarified yet, this condition is not required from associate degree first-year students during the application period, but at the date of internship, it is expected that their grade point average is at least 2 out of 4 (equivalent in other systems).

How can companies sign up for obtaining interns?

Companies and employers who want to employ interns must register through the online programme at https://kariyerkapisi.cbiko.gov.tr/ulusalstajprogrami.

Employers are required to fill in the necessary information using their corporate e-mail addresses in order to register in the system.

If the registration request is approved, the system access information is sent to the corporate mail of the company via e-mail.
