On-the-Job Training Programme of Turkey

On-the-job training programs are organized in order to enable the unemployed registered with İŞKUR to gain professional experience and increase their employability.

Conditions for Benefiting from On-the-Job Training Programs

Being unemployed registered with İŞKUR,
Having completed the age of 15,
Not being a first or second degree blood relative or spouse of the employer,
not to retire
Not being insured in the workplaces under the tax number of the employer, for which the program will be organized within one year prior to the start of the program,
Not having completed the course/program organized by the institution in the same profession,
Not being sanctioned for not participating in the program,
It is necessary to meet the conditions to benefit from job and vocational counseling services.

In addition, a person can benefit from the vocational training course or on-the-job training program twice at the most, and the total number of people benefiting from the courses and programs cannot exceed three.

Duration of On-the-Job Training Programs

The program can be planned for a minimum of 5 hours and a maximum of 8 hours a day and not exceeding 45 hours per week, provided that it does not exceed 6 days a week.

The duration of the program is maximum 6 months in workplaces and professions in informatics and manufacturing sectors, and maximum 3 months in other sectors.

For young people aged 18-29 who participate in on-the-job training programs to be held in fields such as cyber security, cloud computing, game development specialist and coding, which are considered to be the professions of our age and the future, the duration of on-the-job training programs is applied for a maximum of 9 months.

Programs are organized in dangerous and very dangerous professions, provided that they are not less than the minimum duration of the MoNE Lifelong Learning modules or university education modules. The program can be planned for a minimum of 5 hours and a maximum of 8 hours a day, not exceeding 6 days a week, and not exceeding 45 hours per week and 240 days per day.

Expenses That Can Be Covered in On-the-Job Training Programs

Citizens participating in the on-the-job training program, on the day they actually participate in the program;

163.59 TL per day for job seekers, 122.69 TL for students, 81.80 TL per day for those who receive unemployment benefits,
In the programs organized in the professions determined as the professions of the future, 179.95 TL pocket money is paid per day to the participants.
General health insurance and work accident and occupational disease insurance premiums are covered by our Institution during the program.

 

Application Place and Time

All our citizens who meet the application requirements for on-the-job training programs can apply through Provincial Directorates of Labor and Employment Institutions and Service Centers in 81 provinces and through the İŞKUR E-Branch.
