Vocational Education Implemented in Turkey and MESEM Incentive

August 3, 2022by Bünyamin Esen0

In the vocational education system implemented in Turkey, “Vocational education centers” are schools and institutions that continue their work in order to meet the needs of people with professions. Graduates of these schools gain professional titles such as apprentice, journeyman, master and master trainer.

The “Mastery Compensation Program” implemented by the Ministry of National Education in our country, on the other hand, allows the graduates of at least secondary education institution (in other words, any high school) to be given a mastery certificate to those who successfully complete the Vocational Education Center Compensatory Framework Education Program determined by the Ministry in 24 fields and 97 branches, regardless of age. It is a scheduled program.

Student records; After signing a contract between the school, the enterprise and the candidate, the contract is made to the E-MESEM system by the signed school and institution and this program is started to be implemented in the enterprises.

The achievements of the courses are given by the master trainers or trainers working in the enterprises.

State contribution payment to private enterprises (50% of the net minimum wage as long as the temporary article 12 of Law No. 3308 continues) is made by the school and institution with which the contract is signed. Therefore, within the scope of the program opened at the workplace, a support payment of TL 2,126,00 will be made to the employer for each trainee who continues to work full-time during the month.
